Everything You Need to Know About Our Kids Place

Get In Touch

Parents/guardians must provide proper authorization for individuals not listed on the Enrollment Agreement to pick up their child. Impromptu pick authorizations over the telephone are not accepted, but written documents or emails are allowed.
Parents and guardians are responsible for their children's safety during pick-up and drop-off. Vehicles should not exceed five miles per hour near the school, and students should not be left unattended on the sidewalk. Do not park on the wrong side of the road or block driveways; violations may result in towing.
Please understand that children left after hours will incur a late fee of $1.00 per minute.

Tuition is due by the first of every month. We accept credit cards (Visa and MasterCard), cash, and money orders. Personal checks and rewards credit cards are not accepted. A $45.00 late fee applies after the fifth of the month.
Late tuition payment penalties: In addition to the $45.00 late fee after the fifth of the month, an additional $75.00 fee will be charged if the tuition balance goes into a new month. Parents/guardians are liable for all costs incurred due to late fees and service charges.

Medical forms must be updated yearly. Failure to comply will result in a temporary suspension of your child until we receive an updated medical form. All immunizations must be up to date as per NYC DOHMH regulations.
You should not send your child to school if they exhibit symptoms such as a fever of 100.0°F or higher, severe coughing, thick nasal discharge, conjunctivitis, unusual spots or rashes, infected skin patches, headache, stiff neck, sore throat, or trouble breathing. Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to school.
If your child is out for more than three consecutive days, a doctor's note stating they can return to school is required. Additionally, notify the director if your child suffers from seizures or any severe medical conditions.
Additionally, please understand that medication can be administered at our center only with written consent (MAT FORM) and approval by our Educational Director.
You must notify the school within 24 hours if your child has chicken pox, conjunctivitis, diarrhea, diphtheria, food poisoning, hepatitis, Haemophilus influenza type B infection, impetigo, measles, meningitis, meningococcal disease, MRSA, mumps, pertussis, poliomyelitis, rubella, salmonella, scarlet fever, tuberculosis, or any other condition that may pose a health risk to other children.

Uniforms are mandatory four days a week. They consist of a light blue top and dark blue bottom (preferably elastic-waist pants).
Children under four years old must wear Velcro shoes.
Specific gym attire is required on designated days.
All students must arrive with trimmed nails, combed hair, and pulled-back hairstyles (no hair beads). Proper hygiene is essential for all students attending our center.

If you wish to have a party for your child, please notify the office at least two weeks in advance. Parents are responsible for supplying all food (cakes, chips, sodas, etc.) and party goods. All food must be store-bought with a food label. All parents are required to assist staff members during their child’s party, as well as with clean-up. Parties typically take place during lunchtime (11:15 am). Goody bags must be food/candy-free.
