This year we will conduct our Candygram fundraiser. (Details will follow with instructions.) Parents are invited to send their children a Valentine Candy Gram Message. The cost to send the gram is $3.00. We also encourage children to send a candygram message to their friends. In addition, teachers will read aloud Valentine’s cards from parents during class. Each child should wear colors of love.

We will be celebrating the 100th Day of School on Monday, February 13th, 2023. We would love to have the kids dress up like they are 100 years old. We have included some ideas to help you plan what your child will wear. Remember, Pinterest is a great resource!
• Girls: Printed skirt, pearls, eyeglasses, sweater, wig or curled hairstyle, gray hair spray, knee-high stockings, large purse, scarf
• Boys: Button-down shirt, flannel shirt, suspenders, tie, eyeglasses, drawn-on mustache or beard, gray hair spray.
On February 7, OKP is celebrating President’s Day.
Students are encouraged to come to school dressed in presidential attire as they learn about the responsibilities of being a president. Keep a lookout for our unique creation of the Oval Office.
February 6th is Our Kids Place’s Birthday. The school turns 32.
Students are encouraged to wear party attire for a birthday party for OKP.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
From December 19th to December 23rd, students are not required to wear uniforms, and homework will not be assigned. All extracurricular activities will be canceled for this week only.
To make the week before the holidays more festive, OKP will hold a Holiday Inspired Spirit Week.
All week long, children will participate in dress-up and enjoy holiday-themed events.

Monday, December 19th, 2022 – Holiday Show at 10:00 AM (Parents can join us. Fee is $5. If your child’s classroom has a specific attire for their performance, you will be notified via ClassDojo and in a separate email.)
Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 – Ugly Holiday Sweater Day with Jeans
Wednesday, December 21st, 2022 – Holiday festive hats and dress like a candy cane Day
Thursday, December 22nd, 2022 – Students can come in dressed in a holiday Flannel or Polo with jeans
Friday, December 23rd, 2022 -Holiday Pajama Day (ALL students are asked to wear holiday-themed pajamas to school. We will serve cookies and milk.)

Dear Parents,
Students are not required to wear uniform for the week of December 12-16.
The school will be closed on November 24-25 for Thanksgiving Break. OKP will reopen on Monday, November 28.
OKP will have an early dismissal for ALL students on Wednesday, November 23, at 3 PM. There will be no extended day services. Extracurricular activities (soccer, ballet, piano, etc.) are postponed for November 21-23.
